Gigantic Sunflowers

So Jackson and I have been growing flowers all summer. We never thought the sunflowers would bloom. They kept growing and growing until this past weekend. They are about 8 feet tall. Of the 30 or so seeds we planted only these two survived. We have also had a plentiful zinnia garden that has been very fun.

Birthday Cake, Trains and More

Here are some pics from our last week.

Darrell turned 30! It was a good thing we didn't have 30 candles:0

We had a great time at Gee and Grandaddy's house. Jackson is in love with the train and Grandaddy is very patient with him.

Here are more pictures with Gee playing dominoes and swimming at Potts' house.

Thanks Gee and Grandaddy for letting your house look like a toystore all weekend.

Computers

So I am such a lazy mom that instead of teaching my son how to use the computer at our house we donated our old computer to his preschool. Now it is their job to teach him. Maybe I am not lazy after all and just smart. His teacher sent me this picture today, because after about six months it is one of the first times he has had any interest in it.

Learning to Swim

So here it is. I have finally given in and decided to join all the people that I stalk on a daily basis.

My first post on a blog.

Over this last weekend Jackson taught himself to swim. Yes, we paid lots of money for swim lessons that were great, but all it took was a little peer pressure from his good friend for him to learn. Darrell and I can't get him to stop now.

Here he is jumping and swimming to the side of the pool all by himself. He is so big.
