This is my favorite pic. Darrell is so proud of his second son and I am told he was practically running with the pediatric team down the hallway to get to Childrens. I love his smile (this is when we still thought Samuel would live).

I didn't know about your son Samuel until your last post about him. I know these wounds will probably never completely heal but I'm so happy that he is waiting with Jesus in heaven to see you, Darrell, his brother & sister one day. After my loss a few months ago Darrell let me know how sorry he was... and I couldn't figure out why his words were so much kinder and more genuine than anyone else's. I don't know how to end this, except that I'm praying for y'all as you continue to think about your sweet baby boy.
Sweet Samuel, we miss you. You impacted everyone who you knew you! I hope your mommy never forgets all of the ice cream consumed by friends who loved her over those difficult months.
